Situated near Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon in the Vatnajökull National Park, Diamond Beach is named for the glistening icebergs that wash ashore, resembling diamonds scattered across the black volcanic sands.

The beach is a surreal landscape where large ice chunks, calved from the nearby Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, make their way from the glacier lagoon to the Atlantic Ocean. These icebergs, sculpted by nature, come in various shapes and sizes, some featuring a stunning blue hue that stands out against the contrasting dark sands.
