Beneath the mountains, the vast expanse of the desert stretches out towards the horizon, its sandy plains and rocky outcrops bathed in the soft, warm light of the rising sun. The desert landscape is a study in contrasts, with patches of green vegetation dotting the arid terrain and cacti standing tall against the backdrop of the golden sky.

In capturing the sunrise over the mountains and desert of Arizona, Kim invites viewers to witness the beauty and majesty of the natural world in all its glory. It is a scene that speaks to the timeless allure of the American Southwest and the profound sense of awe that it inspires in those who behold it.

Sunrise in Arizona is printed using traditional high-quality methods. It will be printed on Kodak’s Metallic Photographic paper. I use this paper for most of my prints since I love the little glitter that it adds. Kodak’s Endura Metallic paper can put so much “pop” in the enlargements that they’ll look as if they were taken in 3D! The secret behind this amazing paper is literally behind the picture! Kodak has placed a silvery metallic surface under the dye image. This layer acts like a mirror, reflecting the light illuminating the front of the print back through the dyes. The result is a brilliant, almost translucent effect that can be far brighter than conventional enlargements. This paper is also stable in that it lasts 100 years in a typical home display, 200 years in dark storage and 1 to 5 years for commercial display (Quoted from Kodak’s Spec sheet).
