Statue of Liberty
2015
New York, New York
Experience the timeless majesty of the Statue of Liberty as seen from the water in this panoramic 10" x 20" photograph by Kim A. Bailey. Set against a flawless blue sky, Lady Liberty rises proudly above a bustling crowd gathered at her base—an enduring symbol of freedom, hope, and resilience.
The composition captures both the monument’s grandeur and its continued relevance as a beacon for generations. The vibrant clarity of the scene, with the surrounding harbor and distant skyline just out of frame, places the viewer at a respectful distance—reminding us of the scale and spirit of this iconic American landmark.
Statue of Liberty is printed using traditional high-quality methods. It will be printed on Kodak’s Metallic Photographic paper. I use this paper for most of my prints since I love the little glitter that it adds. Kodak’s Endura Metallic paper can put so much “pop” in the enlargements that they’ll look as if they were taken in 3D! The secret behind this amazing paper is literally behind the picture! Kodak has placed a silvery metallic surface under the dye image. This layer acts like a mirror, reflecting the light illuminating the front of the print back through the dyes. The result is a brilliant, almost translucent effect that can be far brighter than conventional enlargements. This paper is also stable in that it lasts 100 years in a typical home display, 200 years in dark storage and 1 to 5 years for commercial display (Quoted from Kodak’s Spec sheet).
