The leopard plant (Farfugium japonicum), also known as Ligularia or by its common name “leopard plant,” is a striking ornamental plant prized for its lush foliage and adaptability. Native to Japan and Korea, it thrives in shaded or partially shaded areas and adds a tropical touch to gardens or indoor spaces.

Here, I photographed a very healthy plant at the Jacksonville Zoo. I love to photograph plants up close and then enlarge them to well beyond their actual size. It forces the viewer to see them differently and to notice the tiny details that make each plant so unique.

Prints are made to order so please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. Many times, I get them out quicker.
