Green parrots are a diverse group of parrot species distinguished by their predominantly green plumage, which provides excellent camouflage in their natural habitats, typically forests, woodlands, and tropical environments. Green parrots are found worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. They are native to areas like Central and South America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
Many green parrot species face threats from habitat destruction, illegal pet trade, and climate change. Conservation efforts focus on protecting their habitats, enforcing trade regulations, and breeding programs in captivity.
Green parrots are not just visually captivating but also ecologically significant and beloved companions for many bird enthusiasts.
