We traveled to Italy and of course I HAD to go to Murano since I am a glass artist as well! Murano is the most well-known of the Venetian Islands, famous for their glass masters! We toured a facility and watched the glass blowers and in the back of the studio I found piles of broken glass behind a fence. On a table there were these glass vases with long necks. I loved the shapes and colors as I framed them through my camera lens. When I got home, I played with different colors behind the glass on my computer and this is the result. I love it!

Glass on a Table in a Glass Factory, Murano, Italy is printed using traditional high-quality methods. It will be printed on Kodak’s Metallic Photographic paper. I use this paper for most of my prints since I love the little glitter that it adds. Kodak’s Endura Metallic paper can put so much “pop” in the enlargements that they’ll look as if they were taken in 3D! The secret behind this amazing paper is literally behind the picture! Kodak has placed a silvery metallic surface under the dye image. This layer acts like a mirror, reflecting the light illuminating the front of the print back through the dyes. The result is a brilliant, almost translucent effect that can be far brighter than conventional enlargements. This paper is also stable in that it lasts 100 years in a typical home display, 200 years in dark storage and 1 to 5 years for commercial display (Quoted from Kodak’s Spec sheet).

• Prints are made to order so please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. Many times, I get them out quicker.
