Tiny Ground Orchids

I grew these tiny, beautiful flowers in my yard for a few years. In 2023 we had a cold spell that finally did them in. There are a few green leaves still near the ground, so I keep hoping they’ll come back but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I really miss them.

That’s one great part of loving to take flower photographs though. The photos will continue to live on forever. I also love that these flowers are less than 1″ in size, but I enlarged the photographs making them much larger and I can bring them to a more abstract image.
